Maybe they are, but I can't help but enjoy them. The Golden Globe nominations were announced today, and since I don't post much in here anymore, I figured I'd post them and see if anyone cares enough to give opinions on them. As usual, there's some obvious choices, and some interesting not so obvious nominations there. I'm not going to go through all of them, but some of the major ones. One I won't list here, but did think was interesting was 2 American filmmakers nominated for best foreign language film (Apocolypto, Letters from Iwo Jima). Also, I'm glad to see some love for Ben Affleck.

| Is it too late for a Top 10 Movies of 2005? |
[Aug. 28th, 2006|01:00 pm] |
I was bored today, so I decided to put together my Top 10 list for last years movies, since I haven't done it yet (hell, I still haven't seen a lot of the movies that I want to from '05). Anyway, I went through all of '05's movies and listed everything that I saw, and picked my Top 10 from those. If anyone wants to do the same, here is a link to a list of every movie released in '05: http://www.the-numbers.com/movies/index2005.php
Anyway...here's my Top 10 from the movies I have seen:
10. Crash 9. Elizabethtown 8. King Kong 7. A History of Violence 6. Batman Begins 5. 40 Year Old Virgin 4. The Constant Gardener 3. Sin City 2. Where the Truth Lies 1. Brokeback Mountain
And just for shits and giggles, here's the list of what I've seen, so you know what I'm pulling from. I'm almost embarrassed by how few movies I've seen. These are in order of release, as that's how they have them listed on the site I pulled them from:

 | You scored as Satanism. Your beliefs most closely resemble those of Satanism! Before you scream, do a bit of research on it. To be a Satanist, you don't actually have to believe in Satan. Satanism generally focuses upon the spiritual advancement of the self, rather than upon submission to a deity or a set of moral codes. Do some research if you immediately think of the satanic cult stereotype. Your beliefs may also resemble those of earth-based religions such as paganism.
